How we met...
Somewhere in Section 334, Nimish got his first glance at Meghna - conveniently down in Section 134 - just inside the walkway. A brownie, a few beers, and some popcorn later, Nimish was left without a phone number and kicking himself! They reconnected through a common friend, and save a little mistaken identity, arranged for a first date at Firefly in "South" DuPont. Drinks turned to dinner, which led to a second date, and a third, and eventually a Mid-Atlantic relationship involving planes, trains, and stinky Chinatown buses!
How we got engaged...
Nimish proposed at the FDR Memorial in DC - on a perfect June evening. As expected, Meghna interrupted the proposal with her own commentary completely clueless to what was happening, thus was sincerely shocked that Nimish had gone through the process of purchasing a ring and getting down on one knee. Needless to say she was ecstatic and thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the evening at Blue Duck Tavern...where Nimish had arranged for her favorite blue cheese stuffed olives upon arrival.
A whirlwind weekend of surprises ensued with loved ones visiting from Greece (San Fran), Florida, Chicago, Atlanta, NYC, CT and MD… we were able to celebrate with all our close family and friends that could make it!
